Ofsted 'Outstanding' Judgement
13th Sep 2023We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been awarded Outstanding in a recent Ofsted inspection.
Upon passing our ‘Outstanding’ grading, Ofsted Inspectors praised i2i on our “highly effective provision” and our “relentless focus on relationships and strengthening the partnership”.
Ofsted stated that i2i Trainees are "supported and challenged to reach and maintain the highest standards”, and they “thrive through a highly personalised approach”. Ofsted judged that “the quality of mentoring is exceptional” and that i2i mentors “nurture trainees’ development”.
John Winter, CEO of Weydon Multi-Academy Trust said, “I am delighted that this hard earned recognition means that the students in our area will continue to benefit from Outstanding secondary teacher training. There are no great schools without great teachers. This judgement is not just a testament to the staff at Weydon’s Teacher Training Centre, it is a reflection on the brilliant partnership working with all of our family of schools.”
Ofsted’s ‘Outstanding’ grading reflects our vision of providing local areas with exceptional teachers. Due to the strength and commitment of all of the i2 partnership schools, i2i has grown from one training centre at Weydon School in Farnham, to include two further training centres at Reigate School and Thamesmead School in Shepperton. We are continuing this vision through further expansion into East and South Hampshire. We are proud that Ofsted recognised that i2i Trainees’ “flourish because of the productive relationships between the provider and schools in the partnership” and that i2i offers “the best teachers now, to train the best teachers of the future.”
