The i2i Way - a poem by Steve Catling
As we come to the end of a momentous year, one of our amazing Trainees has written a poem to his fellow Trainees. Thank you Steve for your witty and wise words - we are very proud of all our Trainees and indeed the brilliant 'i2i way'. Enjoy!
The i2i way
And now, the end is near, and so we face the final Teams call
My friends, I’ll say it clear, We should be proud, It’s time to stand tall
We’ve spent so many hours, Meeting on the Zooming highway
But yes, we did it right – the i2i way.
Regrets, we’ve had a few. But then again, too few to mention
The kids could be a pain. (Thank God there was always detention).
We had so many plans, and evidence to gather, I’d say
But now, we’ve qualified, the i2i way.
Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew, when we bit off more than we could chew
With APKs, and SKfTAs, and PDPs, and RPKs
(There were just so many "TLA"s);
On the i2i Way
We’ve taught, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried. We shared success, within our break rooms
But now, as tears subside, it’s time to thrive in our own classrooms
To think, we all got through, despite the “flu”, along the byway
And yes, we all survived – the i2i way.
For what is a teacher, what have they got? If not their friends, then they cannot...
deal with essays, and the PGCE, and dodgy WiFi, and frozen screens.
But through it all, we all stood tall
For The i2i Way
Yes… The i2i Way.
