I was inspired to become an English teacher by my own teacher at secondary school - who is still teaching today! His enthusiasm, passion and determination to get the best possible result for everyone that stepped foot in his classroom is paramount to my own decision. 

As a salaried trainee I was given 12 full lessons to teach from the very beginning of my training journey - this was tricky as I was getting used to a brand-new school, behaviour policy and several different schemes of learning but despite this the support in place from i2i has been invaluable. With five layers of support ranging from the SCITT Directors, Professional Mentors, Pastoral Mentors and Subject Tutor there was never a moment where I felt like there was someone I couldn't go to with any questions or queries.
