Meet the Team
i2i QA Tutor
Liz has been in Senior Leadership in schools for over 16 years, most recently as Headteacher in a successful 11-16 school in Hampshire.
Liz enjoys all aspects of learning and teaching and is passionate about the craft of enabling students to make effective progress. Originally a music teacher, Liz has always taught throughout all of her roles, but over the last year has returned to the classroom herself. This has really enabled her to revaluate her own practice and enjoy inspiring students again through her subject.
As the i2i QA tutor, Liz feels privileged to visit Trainees and Mentors in both the main placements and 2nd placements. Her role is to provide support and monitor, as well as gain an overview of the mentoring that Trainees receive. Visits include discussions with all involved, lesson observations and feedback sessions. For Liz, being a QA tutor is an amazing position. Seeing trainee teachers growing in their skills, confidence and ability in the classroom is fantastic. Teaching is a hard but incredibly rewarding career and Liz feels honoured to be part of the beginning of this for the trainees that she works with.
