Sarah Larson

i2i SCITT Reigate Link Tutor

Sarah has been teaching geography for over twenty years – most of that time at Reigate School but she has also spent time at schools in the London Boroughs of Bromley, and Barking and Dagenham. She is passionate about being an evidence-informed practitioner, and as such, believes that no teacher is ever the ‘finished product’. She believes that there is always more to learn about teaching, regardless of how long you have been in the profession, and sees that as one of the beauties of the job.

As Reigate Hub Link Tutor, Sarah’s role involves going into the Reigate Hub schools, observing trainees, meeting with their mentors and professional mentors, quality assuring the provision of training within each school and ensuring that trainees are happy in their placement schools.

In her role as the Geography Subject Tutor for the partnership, she delivers bespoke training to the geography trainees, translating general teaching theory into the geography classroom.

Watching the next generation of teachers grow and flourish is incredibly rewarding and Sarah feels privileged to be a part of that process.

As part of her engagement with the teaching community, she has spoken at various ResearchED conferences and has contributed to several educational books.

Outside of school, Sarah enjoys visiting new places, spending time with her two teenaged daughters and reading.
