WHY DID YOU CHOOSE i2i?
I really liked the idea of doing my training in a school. The information days and my interview day at the i2i Partnership really impressed me. I loved the atmosphere and the facilities. When I got offered the place and knew it would be at Weydon that made my mind up. I knew that my mentor would support me, having been through the process recently and I loved the variety within my subject area as not all schools offer the options in DT.
WHAT HAVE BEEN THE HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR?
I think it’s the general feel of the school, the sense of being part of the ‘family’ of Weydon from day 1. I’ve loved being a co-tutor, going on the tutor trip, I did a Macmillan coffee morning with another Staff member and raising the most money so far. I have felt included in the school as soon as I accepted my place here.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THE PROGRAMME AND WHY?
I would definitely recommend Weydon and the i2i programme. I love it here, you get so much support. I am definitely glad I did the school route as well. Having been in industry for the last 8 years I wouldn’t have enjoyed going back to Uni so being in a school was the right option for me.

Weydon and the Mat are great, so much support and drive to be better and do better to give students the best education experience.
