What Our Trainees Say About Us
Charlotte Mulley
Art Teacher, former i2i Trainee 2016-2017
"Since changing my career to becoming a teacher, I haven’t looked back. It is the most stimulating and dynamic environment that I have worked in."
I spent a long time researching which route into teaching was the one for me; Teach@Weydon (now i2i Teaching Partnership) was the ‘best fit’ as I wanted to combine my professional studies with being based in a school from day one.
The training was extremely rigorous with weekly mentor meetings and targets that were agreed and met. All aspects were covered from behaviour for learning to assessment; and because I was training in a school, I was able to put my training into practise straight away.
I most enjoyed establishing relationships with my students and really seeing my lessons come to life; from planning them and seeing how the students responded, it was a real buzz to know that I was getting it ‘right’ after all the thought and development that had gone into them.
I would highly recommend the programme to anyone who wants to learn about the culture of a school from day one. Relationships are established quickly and you develop a real understanding of all aspects of school life.
Since changing my career to becoming a teacher, I haven’t looked back. It is the most stimulating and dynamic environment that I have worked in. I think you have to be flexible and be prepared for new challenges every day as you often come across them. Teaching is never boring!
